Programme Description
Why study veterinary medicine at ULSL?

Practical education
• 5.5 year (11 semester) program of Veterinary Medicine
• At ULSL we integrate hands-on clinical practice together with modern teaching methods
• Strengthening of educational process is conducted through system of practical professional training in private clinics, meat plants, milk plants and sanitary-veterinary inspection units
• Students actively participate in diagnosis and treatment of clinical cases
• University clinics have a total of 8 surgical theatres: for small animals, farm animals, ophthalmology and dental
Curriculum
• We offer 38 elective subjects out of which students have to choose 12 during whole period of studies - enabling them to complete their studies in a chosen area of interest. The aim is to ensure flexible configuration of the curriculum
• Subjects are divided into basic sciences, clinical sciences, professional knowledge and other (e.g. foreign languages, first aid course)
• Curriculum starts with basic subjects such as anatomy, biochemistry, physiology. Later on students are acquainted with hygiene of food of animal orgin, elements of husbandry and nutrition. Clinical subjects are offered together with obligatory clinical practice
• Among facultative subjects students can choose e.g. exotics animals, oncology, ophthalmology
Admission Requirements
Requirements:
1) Present the secondary school-leaving certificate authorizing the candidate to enter the university in the country of its issuing,
2) Obtain grades of at least: 65% of a max. grade in biology and 65% of a max. grade in chemistry or 65% of a max. grade of the subject covering chemistry and biology programme. In case of grades lower than 65% of respective max. grades, the candidate will have to take the entrance exam via the Internet (e.g. Skype) or at the University of Life Sciences in Lublin on the date agreed with the University. The candidate will be charged with a fee of 90,-Eu payable on the University account.
