Programme Description

The curriculum of ‘Master in Finance’ major gives Bachelor level graduates an opportunity to deepen their knowledge of finance and to develop skills and competencies within the investment process.
The degree is available to both domestic and foreign students. A strong undergraduate background in Finance, and English language fluency, are the necessary prerequisites for success. In addition to mainstream subjects like portfolio construction, risk management and the valuation of financial instruments, students are also taught modern quantitative methods and learn about innovations in finance. We emphasize ethics and professional standards, legal and governance issues, and behavioral aspects of financial markets. Mandatory courses are complemented by a selection of elective courses chosen by students according to their individual interests. The curriculum covers a significant number of topics from levels 2 and 3 of the CFA Program curriculum.

The study program is closely linked to the needs of business practice. Our goal is to train graduates who are sought after by employers operating in financial markets, both in Poland and abroad. Among the academic Faculty, students will find university professors and recognized professionals. Our business community partners contribute both to the content of the curriculum and to teaching. Our Master level studies in Finance and Accounting provide students with the knowledge needed to succeed in the upper levels of the prestigious CFA Program examinations, which open up opportunities for a career in the world of finance. We also provide students with opportunities to participate in various projects to enable them to develop “soft” skills in areas such as team working and the delivery of presentations.
