English studies

Students of English Studies with additional language learn English and additional language simultaneously. For additional language we offer; Spanish, German, Japanese, Korean and Chinese. During the program, English courses are taught at a higher level of competency and include linguistics, intensive language development, as well as cultural and historical background of the English speaking countries. Classes from additional language, on the other hand, start at the beginner level and gradually develop language competences. The aim for students is to reach CEFR C1 English and B2 proficiency level or higher from the chosen additional language.

Although students are admitted to SWPS University of Social Sciences and Humanities at the beginning of each academic year, applications are accepted on a regular basis from January 26th until the end of August. Prospective applicants are encouraged to apply for admission well in advance of the beginning of each academic year, as class size remains limited.

Applications are reviewed by the Admissions Committee and candidates are notified in writing about the final decision. Admitted candidates receive an official acceptance letter.
