Curriculum: Physics, speciality: Nanphysics and nanomaterials

The aim of education in the field of Physics II degree is to provide an expanded knowledge of physics based on a thorough grounding in the basics of mathematics - natural sciences and knowledge of the chosen specialty. Develop the ability to understand and accurately describe physical phenomena, use of modern measuring apparatus and technical diagnostic systems. Developing skills to collect, process and transfer information in the field of natural sciences, in particular physical and technical sciences. Graduates of this field are also prepared to undertake third degree studies.

Specialty: Nanophysics and nanomaterials (international studies in Polish and English with a diploma from the University of Le Mans in France) 

Classes within the specialty mainly concern issues related to, among others physics of semiconductor materials, physics of magnetic materials, the interaction of radiation with matter, spectroscopic methods, nanophysics, physics of composite materials, numerical modeling of solids, microsensors. In addition to lectures and seminars, students also take laboratory classes during which they will learn about the basic methods of producing and testing materials of nanometric size. On the basis of an agreement between the Jan Dlugosz University in Czestochowa and the University of Le Mans in France, students of this specialty are entered on the list of students of both universities and graduating two diplomas - Polish and French. Students take internships in France, the first during the second semester of study (2 months) and the second devoted to writing their MA thesis during the fourth semester of study (4 months). The communication language is English. Students interested in future work in industry have the opportunity to stay abroad in renowned industrial laboratories.

Graduates of this specialization can find employment:

as specialists in the field of research and modeling of nanostructures, composite and mesoscopic materials
as specialists associated with the implementation of nanostructures in specialized industrial laboratories 

in electronic and electrotechnical plants implementing modern industrial technologies

Legalized diploma of first cycle studies in physics and very good knowledge of English.
