European studies

Programme description

European Studies is an interdisciplinary programme which aims to equip students with the fundamental understanding of relations between the various sub-disciplines of European Studies (law, political science, economics, history, social sciences, and cultural studies). The programme provides the students with core knowledge of European politics, culture and society, whilst emphasizing Europe’s role in a wider global framework.

Graduate profile

Programme graduates obtain knowledge of the principal traditional and contemporary trends in society, culture, politics and economy of Europe. This programme also serves as the first step towards continuing the student’s academic education on a graduate and postgraduate level. The graduates are prepared to find employment in public administration, national and international institutions and organisations, EU institutions, non-governmental organisations, international companies, cultural institutions, mass media, and publishing.

Final admissions result is calculated based the interview conducted in English. Its aim is to assess candidate's aptitude for the programme, including their English proficiency.
