Programme Description

Cracow University of Economics offers innovative part-time Ph.D. Studies in Economics, Finance and Management (EFM). The programme aims at educating future researchers, teachers and professionals, and contributing to the knowledge production and application at an international level. The programme is addressed to those who wish to extend their understanding of economics, finance or management studies, and to acquire the skills necessary to cope with challenges in the post-crisis environment. It is designed for people passionate about conducting innovative academic research and ready to explore multi-disciplinary research opportunities. The programme’s part time mode (only a couple of meetings per year) makes it well suited for international students involved in professional careers and enables them to enjoy the comfort of staying at their current place of residence.

Admission Requirements

Candidates will be selected by the Recruitment Committee. The Committee will assess the following elements: formal requirements (whether all documents were submitted on time), candidate's research proposal, candidate's cover letter, list of candidate's publications, fellowships, academic internships candidate participated in, guest lectures candidate conducted, conferences candidate attended. 

Required documents:
  • master diploma and transcript of records;
  • bachelor diploma and transcript of records;
  • certificate validating sufficent knowledge of English (list of certificates recognised by the CUE can be found on our website);
  • application form;
  • cover letter;
  • research proposal;
  • one recommendation letter (from the University or from the employer);
  • copy of passport
