Programme Description
CIVIL ENGINEERING spec. GENERAL CONSTRUCTION ENGINEERING
Graduates of this course will be able to design and construct complex metal, reinforced and prestressed concrete as well as timber structures. They will have knowledge referring to the theory of structures, computer aid design (solving the problems of structural mechanics), construction organization and management, evaluation of structure technical conditions, repair and reinforcement technologies, thermal diagnostics and modernization. They will be prepared for work in design offices, construction companies; they will be able to perform managerial and supervisor duties in building production enterprises. They will be prepared to solve complex design, organizational and technological issues in construction industry.
There is possibility of joining double-degree programme with the University of Beira Interior by participation in student’s exchange (2 semesters).
Admission Requirements
• Bachelor Degree. Minimum 210 ECTS.
• English language international B2 certificate (upper intermediate) such as FCE, IELTS (min. 6 points), IBT (min. 87 points), TOEFL (min. 510 points), if applicable.
